RSS feeds

Well, if I understand this correctly, I already have a RSS feed on my Delicious account. I can set it up to where it will pop up anytime I want something tagged to show up. For example, if I want to see every time someone bookmarks something with whales, it will pop up. I also use it on Facebook. I don't look at anything else - just the little orange icons that pop up telling me something pertains to me. I did check out the Feed My Inbox website and that was pretty cool. You can search for feeds or have it pop up whenever there is a new feed and it will email it to you. I personally don't want that many emails. I don't check mine enough as it is, my family will tell you! But that is neat that you can set that and it will do the work for you.

  1. I set my email up for the new feeds. I like it because it's easier for me to keep track new posts without having to go to each of the different sites.

  2. Good idea-I will have to add my Delicious account to my RSS feeds as well. I love Delicious! Another book marking tool that a fellow teacher shared with me this week is Portaportal. She says she likes it even better than Delicious because you can go to other teachers Portaportals and add their sites to your own. Also, you can organize your bookmarks by subject using folders. I am going to check it out! Sounds like it might be a great tool to use too.-Darci

  3. Adding Delicious to the RSS feed...not a bad idea! I mostly just use the RSS to keep up to date on the blogs we are doing (and I need to do a better job at that!) I used to have an RSS feed for our local news, but that was when I was able to get on the computer more.
